NOVEC HELPS golf tournament on May 15 will help the community

NORTHERN VIRGINIA – NOVEC HELPS, Hands Engaged in Local Public Service, invites golfers to play in its second annual golf tournament on Thursday, May 15, at the Stonewall Golf Club, 15601 Turtle Point Dr., Gainesville, Va.

The non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization of Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative employees hopes to raise thousands of dollars for charitable, educational, and medical organizations that work to help people and families in Northern Virginia. Some of the groups HELPS supports are county homeless shelters, Northern Virginia Family Service/SERVE, ACTS, March of Dimes, MS Society, Alzheimer’s Association, Easter Seals, and Special Olympics.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Awards, door prizes, and lunch will follow. Fee per player: $125.
