NORTHERN VIRGINIA – NOVEC HELPS, Hands Engaged in Local Public Service, invites golfers to birdy for the community on Thursday, May 16, at the Stonewall Golf Course in Gainesville, Va. The non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization of Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative employees hopes to raise thousands of dollars to pour back into community to improve residents’ health and well-being. Some of the organizations that will benefit are: county homeless shelters, Northern Virginia Family Services food bank, Alzheimer’s Association, and the American Red Cross.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. followed by a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Awards, door prizes, and lunch will follow. Fee per player: $125.
