Recycle Christmas Greens at NOVEC’s Gainesville Office

NORTHERN VIRGINIA -- To help reduce the post-holiday waste load on the environment, NOVEC will accept used Christmas trees, wreaths and other greens at its Gainesville office, 5399 Wellington Branch Drive near the Route 29 and I-66 intersection. Customers may leave greenery in the front parking lot in the area designated by orange safety cones anytime from Dec. 27, 2010 to Jan. 5, 2011. NORTHERN VIRGINIA – The Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative employee volunteer organization, NOVEC HELPS, is participating in the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program and is asking NOVEC customer-owners to bring new, unwrapped toys to area offices by Dec. 17, 2010. NOVEC HELPS will deliver donated toys to the Marine Corps in Quantico, Va., and Toys for Tots Campaign coordinators will distribute toys to underprivileged children in the Northern Virginia region.
